Blessed by the rain gods this beautiful 3 day monsoon wedding came to life with rich colors, festivities and customs from time immemorial. The celebrations kicked off with a rain dance themed Mangal Snaanam which was one of our favorite ceremonies. What started as a traditional bath for the bride soon ended with water balloon fights and of course Bollywood styled rain dances. The rich Telugu culture was then reflected in the next event called Pellikuthuru. Since it is a traditional event and unique to the Telugu community we kept the décor traditional as well. The celebrations then continued with the Sangeet evening. The next day came with an early start with a host of pooja’s and the Mehendi ceremony. On the wedding morning the beautiful rising sun with its bold hues of red, orange and gold complimented our wedding venue that was decked in the same jewel toned color palette. Timeless and traditional these colors worked beautifully for this formal setting. The meaningful rituals, followed by a scrumptious yele oota (traditional banana leaf meal) made for a perfect ending to this beautiful celebration.
At DivyaVithika Wedding Planners we helped with everything from venue selection, wedding invitations, caterers, décor and styling of all the events, makeup artists, photo and videography, and hospitality. In the end we feel so glad knowing that our relationship with this wonderful family has only just begun. Dearest Prithvi and Vinootha, as you embark on one of life’s biggest adventure we wish you an amazing ride.
